Recently in my post The Nine Forbidden Practices of the Occult – The Debunked Version i referenced that human sacrifices were common. This was a given statement and I thought I could leave it at that, however many wanted to claim that human sacrifice did not exist in the Bible. I received many emails on the subject, I hoped many would comment rather than emailing so as to share there view here, however emails in some circumstances can seem to some people less confronting I guess.
This post is for those people that disagree with me.
The truth is and we should all be looking for truth in what we study whether religion or other Occult studies. If you have not read the Bible then it makes sense to argue, that would mean you have most likely gotten you information from people that’s bested interest is in hiding the truth from you. What i would recommend doing is please just read the book. That is key for those that want to argue this claim. However to make it easy for you I am going to list some verses from the Bible ( not all of them ) that indicate human sacrifice was a part of life.
In fact, sacrificing to God was very common in this Book. If you are religious or christian or catholic then you may want to look away right now because this truth could hurt.

– Please note, I am not a religious person, however I am very spiritual, I seek truth by looking at many religions and Occult studies. This report therefore is from a completely unbiased mind.
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
My Thoughts – This is one many know, the common one of sending his Son Jesus to be killed for his sins, well in another word sacrificed for our sins. This is one human sacrifice to God in there.
Judges 11:29-40
Then the Spirit of the Lord was upon Jephthah, and he passed through Gilead and Manasseh and passed on to Mizpah of Gilead, and from Mizpah of Gilead he passed on to the Ammonites. And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord and said, “If you will give the Ammonites into my hand, then whatever comes out from the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the Ammonites shall be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.” So Jephthah crossed over to the Ammonites to fight against them, and the Lord gave them into his hand. And he struck them from Aroer to the neighborhood of Minnith, twenty cities, and as far as Abel-keramim, with a great blow. So the Ammonites were subdued before the people of Israel. …
My Thoughts- Human burnt sacrifice was offered after prayer as a gift to God for his battle success.
Numbers 31:25-31
The Lord said to Moses, “Take the count of the plunder that was taken, both of man and of beast, you and Eleazar the priest and the heads of the fathers’ houses of the congregation, and divide the plunder into two parts between the warriors who went out to battle and all the congregation. And levy for the Lord a tribute from the men of war who went out to battle, one out of five hundred, of the people and of the oxen and of the donkeys and of the flocks. Take it from their half and give it to Eleazar the priest as a contribution to the Lord. …
My Thoughts – Above God asks for a human sacrifice.
Micah 6:7
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”
My Thoughts – Asking should he give his first born for sacrifice as well, other than just rams and oil.
Exodus 13:2
“Consecrate to me all the firstborn. Whatever is the first to open the womb among the people of Israel, both of man and of beast, is mine.”
My Thoughts – Asking for first born babies as a sacrifice.
2 Kings 3:27
Then he took his oldest son who was to reign in his place and offered him for a burnt offering on the wall. And there came great wrath against Israel. And they withdrew from him and returned to their own land.
My Thoughts – Burnt offerings were common, this guy offered his oldest son as an offering to God.
Judges 11:31
Then whatever comes out from the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the Ammonites shall be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”
My Thoughts – First one that comes out to greet him was offered in a burning sacrifice.
Okay, so that is enough for now, I think you get my point, sacrifices are common in the bible. There is about 45 verses in total on the subject if you wish to look it up as well yourself. Most of which were to the Lord or to God. Either way like i said in that previous post it was a common practice. There is no need for anyone to debate this one, it is right there for all to see.
